I’d love to be your soul mate

Dear Doc,

Today was a mostly nice and relaxing day with the exception of one stressful hour. I worked in my garden and had a short nap in the middle of the day, but when I woke up, I had a dry cough. My daughter called her dad, he immediately suggested testing. The nearest testing centre was nearly 12 miles away from our hometown. My initial response was not to go and fortunately, this turned out to be the right decision. My cough stopped within 30 minutes and I haven’t coughed since then or had any other Covid symptoms. I was relieved and went back into my garden to continue working. I have one huge rose that blossoms in early June. Unfortunately, it is not doing particularly well this spring and so I sprayed it with some pesticides in order to help this beauty recover.

Now, at the end of a long May day, I am thinking about you. This is your free day and I am wondering how you spend such days. Do you work in your garden, do you cook, do you spend time with your kids doing whatever teenage kids do? I have heard your wife is a doctor too. Is she your soul mate? If she is, I will surely never get your hug. Something tells me that she isn’t, at least not anymore. Or is this just my selfish wish?

Stay well my darling,

Kristina
