Parental hands/Roditeljske ruke

Updated: Mar 7, 2022

Life carries us and takes us away from them,

Some distances you never stop regretting.

With various winds we made a pact,

But as time goes on, their hands run with it.

Life rolls us, it pulls us through undergrowth,

Their gentile looks are still a balm on every path.

Did we know, could we have done differently,

While we were picking left at some junction?

Life is a river, some banks are wide,

And in our voyage often we forget about them,

Hands waving to us even while we're far away,

And which, once we return, are no longer the same.

Life is love, alongside them we weaved it.

Some part of them, so close and dear, becomes eternity within us.

Some proximities are unexpected, we didn’t hope for them.

Let’s kiss those hands as we dock along their shore.

Love,

Kristina

Roditeljske ruke

Jesmo li znali, jesmo li mogli drukčije,

Poljubimo te ruke dok pristajemo uz njihovu obalu.

S ljubavlju,

Kristina
