I'll stay in the shadow

I have discovered a beautiful lake

Its coasts are gentile, the water is deep

Hand in hand with you, the walk I would take

If only I could let go what I wish to keep.

In order to see the light above this lake

I have to move alone; I have to stay in the shadow

Whatever I dream about it isn’t a mistake

I still prepare, but the final steps I may never know.

You are somebody else’s sunny coast

It has to be that way as we met so late

After knowing you, I’ll never be lost,

Being alone is not hard when you are my wait.
